    Become An AKKPS Member


    The AKKPS Membership is composed of KuneKune Owners, Breeders and Enthusiasts.

    Please allow 3 business for application processing once an application has been submitted.  Upon processing, a Welcome Email will be sent with AKKPS Member Portal Instructions.

    The yearly AKKPS dues of $65 include all registration related items as well as Member Services Benefits.

    Yearly dues are from anniversary date to anniversary date NOT by calendar year.

    AKKPS Yearly Dues INCLUDE all registration related item with the exception of DNA through UC Davis and the required pigs ID  Method.

    Dues may be paid via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo or Check by US Mail

    The AKKPS requires a current AKKPS Membership to complete all types of registration related items as well as access Members Only Information through the AKKPS Member Portal.

    Current AKKPS Registration Process Timing

    In an effort to keep members updated on the current processing time for submitted registrations, the AKKPS will post the PROCESSED THROUGH date for all registration items several times a week.

    The AKKPS Registrar has a 4 week processing time allowance from the time the members submits a registration related to the AKKPS Registrar.

    Full Registration - Seller has 10 weeks from new owners possession of the pig to submit registration to the AKKPS Registrar

    Transfers (Full/Companion Animals/Animals for Harvest)- Seller has 4 weeks from new owner possession of the pig to submit transfer to the AKKPS Registrar

    Non Member Duplicate Pedigree Request

     

    • Non AKKPS Members -  Please use the following link to request a duplicate emailed pedigree certificate ($0) or a mailed certificate ($5).  An invoice will be sent via PayPal or mailing instructions will be sent for payment by check for Mailed Pedigree Certificates.  Please allow up to 2 weeks to process.
    • AKKPS Members - Please do NOT use this form - Duplicate Pedigree Certificates can be printed when logged into the AKKPS Member Portal Under My Animals on the animals information page.  Mailed Certificated can be requested through the AKKPS Member Portal.

    AKKPS Registration Guidelines

     

    • ONLY THE BREEDER/FARM OF A LITTER CAN LITTER NOTIFY AND FULLY REGISTER A PIG FROM THE LITTER.  THE NEW OWNER OF A PIG CAN NOT LITTER NOTIFY OR FULLY REGISTER A PIG.
    • THE BREEDER MUST OWN THE AKKPS REGISTERED SOW AT THE TIME OF FARROWING AND THE BOAR MUST BE AKKPS REGISTERED.
    1. Litter Notification Application (AKKPS Member Portal and emailed back to you immediately)
    2. Apply ID Method to pig - Member chooses method and purchases method (see help guide section for more info)
      1. Microchip
      2. Ear Tag
      3. Tattoo
    3. DNA - Parentage Verification Submission using information from the Litter Notification (applied for using UC Davis and takes 15 days from receipt at lab)
    4. Apply for Full Registration once the DNA report is returned via email from UC Davis to the member (AKKPS Member Portal)
    5. AKKPS Registrar Processes the Full Registration Application (can take up to 4 weeks) and an emailed pedigree is sent to the owner of the pig designated in the Full Registration Application
