- All pigs in the pedigree of an AKKPS registered KuneKune have been parentage DNA verified all the way up to the imported pig.
- DNA testing is NOT like the DNA tests done on dogs to determine their breed or mix of breeds.
- In order to do DNA Parentage Verification, the pigs parents must be AKKPS registered and have a DNA case number on file.
- You must know the AKKPS registered parents in order to do Parentage Verification DNA testing.

- KuneKunes are only considered Full or Purebred if they are AKKPS registered with Parentage DNA Verification.
- KuneKunes can only be AKKPS registered by the breeder of the litter.
- The breeder must own the AKKPS registered sow at the time of farrowing.
