How to ask UC Davis to compare another parent

One of the parents DNA did not match?

Here are the steps to request comparison to another dam or sire.

  1. Log in to your UC Davis Account,
  2. go to Manage/View Test,
  3. find that sample/pig,
  4. click on the pigs name,
  5. view results, and then when that page opens,
  6. you will see at the top left an option for add new parent Verification and click that,
  7. add the mom/dad with the right name, AKKPS number and DNA case #.
  8. That will trigger them to compare and give you a new report.

Once you receive that report, and DNA proof of both parents are given in the results, you will be able to register your piglet.

It is usually easier if you think there is a possibility there are more than one sire to enter when you first request DNA proof of parentage to avoid delays.
